From 1994 two letters to the editor published now for the first time ... The first letter, from Helen Demidenko, was offered for publication; the second, from B. Wongar author of Roki was marked ‘not for publication’.

As editor of ABR, I decided at the time not to publish the Demidenko letter. However, in view of the developments of the last three months, I now believe these letters should be published, because they are of interest to the public. Wongar has now given permission for the publication of his letter.
