Kylie Moore-Gilbert

Kylie Moore-Gilbert is an Australian writer and academic who specialises in the political science of the Middle East. Kylie Moore-Gilbert has written for outlets including The Atlantic, Foreign Policy, CNN, The Age, The Australian and The Saturday Paper, and in 2022 published a bestselling memoir, The Uncaged Sky: My 804 days in an Iranian prison. Moore-Gilbert currently works as a research fellow in Security Studies at Macquarie University and in 2023 founded the advocacy group The Australian Arbitrary and Wrongful Detention Alliance (AWADA).
