Constant J. Mews
Emeritus Professor Constant J. Mews taught from 1987 to 2021 at Monash University, where he was Director of the Centre for Religious Studies, within its School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies. He is interested in medieval religious thought and intellectual history of the Latin West, with particular attention the development of theology in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. His publications include The Lost Love Letters of Heloise and Abelard: Perceptions of dialogue in twelfth-century France, second edition (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008) and Abelard and Heloise (Oxford University Press, 2005), as well as many edited volumes about medieval thought and religious life.
